  • Teaching - Insurance

We do not advise you to teach yoga in any public setting, please see your code of conduct. You will not be covered by any insurance until you have received your Teaching Certificate. Practising teaching is a great thing, but we want you to work on your own practice and teach yourself first. In November, we will advise on starting some mini teaching, to friends or family. There is student insurance, only available with Yoga Alliance Professionals: https://blog.yogaallianceprofessionals.org/trainee/do-yoga-teacher-trainees-need-insurance

  • Producting Evidence to meet the Yoga Alliance Standards

There are different assessment points to complete your training, please make sure you have read each module expectations and made note of submission windows.

  • Anatomy & Physiology online

We hope your yoga anatomy learning is going strong with Andrew’s course. This course will be available until March 2022, but we strongly encourage you to front-load with this content, it is the foundation of our 200-hour program and will aid you enormously as you move into next months content.

  • Who to practice with ONLiNE

This list could be endless, but here are a few to start with.

NOAH MAZE - I did a 300 hour with Noah a few years ago, he’s offering quite a few free classes online at the moment. https://mazeonyoga.com/

    JANET STONE - https://janetstoneyoga.com

CYNDI LEE - one of my biggest influences https://www.cyndilee.com/

HELEN OLIVIA - Local teacher and one of our mentor team, sometimes can be seen at Mula, otherwise mostly online. https://helenoliviayoga.com/

  • Who to practice with locally

These are some of my local recommendations:

Helen Martland ( Mula Yoga), Helen’s teaching is functionally the best I’ve come across, period. It’s why I want to work with her at Mula.

Carliann Langley (Peace Love Yoga, Formby), To balance all the yang, I recommend trying Carliann’s Yin. She’s trained with the best and makes great use of local community venues.

Michelle Almond (Studio One, Standish), I love the way Michelle make her classes accessible, Check out the beginner or slow-flow classes.

Sarah Smith -Seargent (Trybe and other venues in Preston) Sarah’s expertise in pre & postnatal, along with yoga therapy and psychology means you will experience an incredibly well-informed practice.

  • Lee Rowlands (Yoga Rooms, Wirral). Lee will challenge your balance, with complex but nourishing flows, philosophically-informed.

Helen Aldred (Ashtanga Yoga Liverpool), try ashtanga series traditionally led.

Andrea Etherington (Manchester venues, and pops up locally now and again). Jivamukti Style has grown from the ashtanga series, Andreas infuses her classes with powerful philosophical and physical themes.

Laura Barrett (Darwen, know as Yoga Colelctive ). Laura will offer creative flows and fun balances.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA

We encourage you to set up business/yoga socials rather than share your private content. It could be Facebook, Instagram, Twitter - some of, or all of - it’s up to you. I find Instagram the easiest to use and it automatically post to my other accounts. I keep my Twitter for my academic profile. Once set up, please add me , tag me on Instagram, so I can follow you back and tag you etc etc.

NOTE ON TAGGING, if you tag me it helps me with sharing the love and is a great promotion for me!

  • YOGA BOOK CLUB

I’ve been sharing an informal yoga book club in 2021. You can find all past book club books n my Instagram stories and Ive written a few pages on my online journal (look up, it’s on this site).
